Canada Day

On Canada Day, July 1st,  at 10:30 pm, you can watch the fireworks at Canada Place. It is a good idea to arrive early because a lot of people come.

Monday, July 1, join us for the biggest birthday celebration outside of Ottawa: the 26th Annual
Canada Day at Canada Place presented by Coast Capital Savings. Enjoy 13 hours of FREE family fun including
music, dance, cuisine, exhibits and displays from across the nation, all in honour of Canada’s 146th birthday.
The city’s largest waterfront party welcomes over 250,000 people and will include 25 amazing music and dance
performances, extreme sports displays, a celebration of great Canadian inventions, a Citizenship Ceremony, the
Canadian Armed Forces and the Port Metro Vancouver Zone. The ever-popular Canada Day Parade is back at
7 p.m. and the awe-inspiring Canada Day Fireworks Show, the city’s only double barge Canada Day fireworks,

At 10:30 p.m. on July 1, the Canada Day Burrard Inlet Fireworks Show will light up the sky with
an extravaganza for the senses. This two-barge simultaneously pyrotechnical display is based
off the Burrard Inlet near Canada Place and Dundarave in West Vancouver. This fireworks celebration
showcases our great country and celebrates our freedom and diversity as it caps off a tremendous Waterfront
Party at Canada Place. Over 450,000 people watch the Canada Day Burrard Inlet Fireworks Show as it is
viewable from several locations and communities and is simulcast to music broadcast by media partner, Classic
Rock 101. Shaw TV will also be broadcasting the fireworks show live. Free.

will be served at 2:30 p.m. Free.


Steveston Salmon Festival

over 100 entries including floats, marching bands, celebrities, politicians, community

Show, Craft Fair, Trade Show, an awesome Children’s Festival, Carnival, Martial Arts Demonstrations, Youth
Festival, multi-ethnic Food Fair plus an Art Show & Exhibit. The main attraction is our famous salmon barbecue
($15 per plate) where over 1200 pounds of wild salmon filets are grilled over open fire pits.
